This morning it felt like fall was here. The air was cold and crisp and I wore a sweatshirt to work. Maybe that’s why today I am leaning towards houndstooth patterns. I am also in love with black and white contrasts so this is one vintage pattern that can look really modern.

Some of my friends think I’m crazy for the type of architecture and interiors that I love. I am completely lusting after this apartment by Frederic Berthier Architecture. From the gorgeous herringbone floors to the natural wood beams and cool black and white contrasted items – can I have it all please? Oh and guess where it is Paris baby, yes Paris! I desperately wish I could live in this chic apartment.
How it is that even a cup of pencils can look breath-taking? Oh, and can we just talk about that fireplace? That’s the sexiest fireplace I have even seen! Bravo Frederic, bravo!
Taupe is such a classic color. It’s a great base color to build off of and looks fresh when pairing bolder colors. From cosmetics to fashion to your home this is a color that brings in some warmth without being overpowering. In summer this is one of my favorite “wildcard” colors because a taupe dress looks great on bronzed skin. It also works well in creating a slightly edgier look then the typical beige palette.
