Shop Talk: Baba Souk

I’m not going to lie…I was thrilled to see an email notification that the Baba Souk shop opened. Baba Souk’s pinterest is one of my fave follows because the pins are always fresh, minimal and inspiring [the trifecta in my book]. Now they have a facebook so make sure you like their page. I fell in love with everything in the shop. Oh and did I mention that they wrap all of their items for FREE! Their motto: “Even if it is not a gift, it is still a gift for you!” That certainly makes life easier during the holiday. Check out my top 5 favorite handmade items.

one: I’m loving these Scandinavian Christmas Postcards – perfect to wish your family and friends a happy holiday season!

two: Six Mini Pastel plates will dazzle your table and since they are handmade they are one of a kind.

three: Hand-printed, graphic, and inspiring? Yes please!

four: I love the triangular shape of the Ladybug baba pillow – plus each side is unique [and colorful].

five: I think I drooled a little when I saw the Gold & Cube Necklace. The presentation is stunning and I love the extra touch of the washi tape. The minimalist nature of the Baba Souk jewelry is something that I appreciate and love.

What do you think of the Baba Souk shop?

Back to School with Hand Screen Printed Notebooks by Indur!

The back to school rush is upon us. If you are looking for some fancy notebooks I suggest taking a look at these hand screen printed 5″ x 8″ notebooks. They come in both blank paper and graph paper [my favorite]. Does Indur sound familiar? It should!

The HUMP: Part 18 – WHAT A COLORFUL WORLD!

I was pleasantly surprised when Coni Della Vedova reached out to me. She is a graphic designer based in Barcelona. Her 100% handmade silkscreen prints are absolutely gorgeous and available on etsy! The various designs are printed using acid free paper and non-toxic water based inks [what’s not to love?]. The “Life is Colorful” print is my favorite!

This is a screenprint by Coni Della Vedova called Life is Colorful.

One of the things that I love about handmade prints are the unique details that occur. Since each print is handmade there will be subtle variances [just like snowflakes – no two are exactly the same]. If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind print check out ConiLAB‘s other designs.
